MEEee-YAAH-ow!
Please pet me! I'm a pretty cat. Plus my Mommie isn't home
yet, and I'm getting HOU-OUN-gry! Mommie calls me "Candy" and says
I'm a silver tabby. But you can call me "Kitty" or "Cutesy" or "Kathy",
or just about anything. If you pet me, I'll be your friend for life.
'Cuz I just lu-u-u-uv to be petted and cuddled. Purr-r-r-r-r, purr-r-r-r-r.
MEE-YOW!!! Please don't leave me now! If I rub up against you, will you see how cute I am? (rub, rub, rub) Purr, purr, purr. See, aren't I ado-o-o-orable? If my Mommie doesn't come home soon, will you feed me? Pul-eeeeze? A few winters ago (before I met my Mommie), the snow was so deep, I could hop over the top of the fence. At night it was so cold I couldn't even feel my toes. I found a sleeping place high up in a wooden building where there were a lot of huge animals who ate hay all the time. But I was still cold. And there were some scary dogs who barked at me and chased me all day long. I didn't like those dogs. I was always afraid of them, and they were always disturbing my inner tranquility. So I set out to find a new home. One night I went exploring down the road. Soon I heard someone calling, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty." So I looked up and saw a porch light with a purr-son standing under it. It sounded like the purr-son was calling me. I ran up the porch to the purr-son, and she started petting me and cuddling me and letting me rub up against her. She talked to me so sweetly that I knew I had found a new home. That's how I met my Mommie. But Mommie did not let me in her house for a long, long time, even though I would run up to her car and meet her every day when she came home from work. I loved it when she petted me and talked to me. I kept meeting her every day, but she didn't let me in. She didn't even feed me, but I still loved all the attention and affection she showed me. Then one evening, after all the snow had gone away and my toes stopped freezing, she let me inside! As soon as I ran in, I saw the food dish and helped myself. That seemed to really please her, and it REALLY pleased me, 'cuz I was starving. She even had a nice litter box all set up for me! I felt like I was in heaven. That evening, that house became my new home, and that Mommie became my new Mommie. Oh, I think I hear my Mommie's car now! Mee-yow! Yes, she's coming home. There she is! She's coming home to feed me. Mee-yow (running up to car). Mee-yow, hi, Mommie (waiting outside parked car, rubbing against car door). Hi, Mommie; I love you. Purr-rr-rr-rr-rr (standing on hind legs, front paws on Mommie's calves as she ascends from car). Meow. I'm hungry! Oh, Mommie's petting me now. I lu-u-u-uv to be petted. Purr-r-r-r-r, purr-r-r-r-r. Bye! I'm going to follow my Mommie into the house now so I can have my dinner. Yummy!!! |
