[AA] DEVELOPMENTAL / INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS


[1A] BRONZE TEAM PROGRAMS

** COACHING STAFF:      [Cindy Hemsworth]
   ** sections 1/2  
            
** PRACTICE SCHEDULE: 	{NOTE: swimmers/parents MUST select one "section" and  
   attend ONLY that time period based upon the swimmer's age, ability & previous   
   experience; movement from one section to another section may be possible at  
   the end of each month based upon enrollment levels}

   ** MON/TUE/WED/THU		(enrollment approx 15-20 per section) 
      ** section #1 	 	 5:10PM- 5:40PM (swimming instruction)
      ** section #2   	 	 5:45PM- 6:15PM (swimming instruction)
   ** FRI/SAT/SUN    		OFF

** ATTENDANCE: 		NO attendance requirements (recommend attend any 2 days per week)

** COSTS:       	[1]  $ 35.00/month (payable 1ST of month); AND
                                   (Sept 2000/Aug 2001 will be 1/2 payments)
                       	[2]  $ 37.50/USS Membership Fee per swimmer IF paid
	                            prior to 10/31/00 OR

** QUALIFICATIONS:      8-UNDERS {some 9-10 year olds w/permission of HYCAT
                        Coaching Staff Member} AND ability to swim AT LEAST 1 
                        length (75') of UC's pool freestyle & backstroke w/out
                        assistance; PLUS some beginning level of how to perform
                        breaststroke & butterfly the width (45') of UC's pool.

                        [NOTE: ALL 9-10 YEAR OLDS SWIMMERS MUST HAVE PRIOR
                        APPROVAL OF HYCAT COACHING STAFF MEMBER]

   ** in this program/group, the emphasis is on proper development of the 
      fundamentals of the 4 competitive strokes (free; back; breast & fly) by 
      means of various stroke drills/skills/games that create an enjoyable 
      atmosphere for both instruction and learning 

** OPTIONAL PROGRAMS:
   ** STROKE CLINIC/CAMP:  10:35AM-11:25AM (SAT / swimming instruction with Greg Lake 
                           and/or Cindy Hemsworth)

   ** SWIM MEET COMPETITION:  PLEASE see/talk to a member of the HYCAT Coaching Staff
                           for further information/details

[2A] SILVER TEAM PROGRAMS

      competitive strokes; streamling "off" the walls on your push-offs; and other related
      swimming skills/drills.

      Swim Team/Program; placement will be based upon swimmer's age and previous

      **  8-Unders        Bronze Team (either section #1/2)
      **  9-12 year olds  Silver Team (either section #1/2)
      ** 13-Overs         Gold Team (either section #1/2)
