Huntington Y    Charleston Aquatic Team

For more than forty years, the Huntington Y Charleston Aquatic Team (HYCAT) has sought to train and motivate young people to achieve their potential in swimming, to instill in young swimmers such concepts as personal accountability, self-motivation, goal setting, goal achievement, and the pursuit of excellence. And to have fun in the process!

HYCAT has seen the hard work of its swimmers pay off with twenty-nine consecutive Short Course West Virginia State Swimming Championships and fifteen consecutive Long Course Championships. Over the years, individual HYCAT swimmers have received USA Swimming national recognition and YMCA national recognition, but the emphasis of HYCAT, whether in its learn-to-swim program or its competition teams, is the achievement of the full potential of every swimmer, regardless of age or ability.

So, welcome to the HYCAT Website. HYCAT hopes that readers will find it informative and entertaining. Anyone who still has questions after looking around, or just wants to contact the team, should write to HYCAT Mail. We'll get back to you as soon as we get our heads above water.
