Whats
New
We
keep on adding things to the site. Here is what is new:

On
22 May 2010 we began hand-feeding two kittens abandoned shortly
after birth by their feral mother. These
pages document the kittens' development. (June 2010)

We've
added a page of photographs showing what
a bulldozer and a very heavy vac truck can do to an earth road during
a thaw. (28 February 2009)

We've
added a section to our site to act as an adjunct to the Gas
Well Study, 2008 we did last year. These are pages showing what
we saw at some of the well sites we visited. We hope soon to be
able to make the Study available to a broader public. (23 February
2009)

We've
added a section to The Gas Well
part of the site discussing Reclamation.
From constructing the site and road to revegetation after the well
is drilled, there are pages and text illustrated with photographs.
(25 January 2009)

After
a hiatus we've added new information to the site. There is now a
blog at News which contains
the most recent posts. All our posts are archived at sootypaws.livejournal.com.

We
learned in early September that a natural gas well is to be drilled
on our property (we don't own the mineral rights). We've created
a new section of the site which will provide information about gas
wells and drilling, along with a record of our experiences. The
Gas Well has, besides the introductory page, photos taken in
1997 of an existing well
between us and the hard road. (28 November 2008)
