My interests range from woodworking (though I do almost none now) to blacksmithing. I also like to read and enjoy my “studies” which range from Old & Middle English and Old French languages and literature to early printing in England.

I am aware of social justice issues raging in this country but almost never talked about by the news media and political establishment (such as homelessness, class, race, heath care and so forth.) My grandmother one day when I was little took me aside when I was talking about the “middle class” (I believed then I was a member). She told me how much it hurt her to hear the word class used, that if I could say things like upper class, middle class and lower class, then there was no democracy in this country. It took me 30 years (as usual) to realize finally what she was saying.

From time to time I will be adding links and information sections to the web site. I have recently finished one on the Israeli and Palestinian conflict with some background and links to other web sites.

Molly and I have also recently created an Activism section devoted to anti-war topics.

And, most recently, I have put some information up on our site relating to my Caxton Project. This portion of the site will have some information about England’s first printer, William Caxton, along with other pages relating to the Middle Ages.
