47-079-00746

This older well is on North Poca River Road east of 47-079-00735.

This was the first non-company well we examined in 2008 and the contrast was remarkable. This well had a well-graveled drive off of River Road, the metal was painted, and the new tank had a dike.

The only problem we saw at this well was the old tank which should have been hauled off, the stack of old pipe by the well and the presence of used containers. Everything was neat and tidy, though.

The next well we looked at the day we examined this well was 47-079-00735 and the comparison between that well and this was telling.

We've only seen one well operated by this company. The paint scheme is distinctive with valves and joints in dark blue.

The separator is the gray and blue tank in the middle ground. The large stack of old pipe is to the right.

The new tank is in the foreground. The old tank has large holes in the side and isn't being used.

We wonder about the advisability of keeping containers on the site (empty or not).
