This older well is on Spanish Oak Road, east of Heizer Creek Road. According to online records this well was originally drilled in 1943 and was worked over to become a storage well in 1978.

The well is right next to the road, between two points where the road shares the creek bed. The site is well vegetated and the well's API number is indicated on a placard attached to the storage well equipment.

The well, because it wasn't drilled by a rotary rig, required very little room for the pad.

Storage wells that have been converted from regular wells have a special restraint to keep the wellhead from blowing off under the pressures involved.

Unlike most of this company's regular wells, their storage wells have been recently painted. This one is starting to show signs of rust.
