Photographs of the Spill, part 4

This group of photographs focuses on the effects on wildlife. The photographs were taken between 30 August and 2 September.

Descriptions of the effects of the spill on wildlife vary. The inspector saw no evidence of a fish kill. Other persons describe no evidence of fish. Here's a photo of a dead crayfish. Note the unusual, thick sediment on the creek bottom.

A dead muskrat was photographed floating in the creek near its den.

Two ducks, unable to fly, were observed.

This is a photo of a green heron near one of the booms. Besides obvious evidence of wildlife at the creek, less obvious evidence in the form of their tracks was also noted.
