Hello again and welcome to the Unofficial Blue's Clues FAQ page. I hope this will be your first stop to finding all the answers to your Blue's Clues questions. Think blue :)

Q: Do you have any BC activity ideas for my children?
A: I have a stamp kit with a paw print in it and I put paw prints on pieces of paper and have my children find the clues that the paw print papers are on. I usually select three things like Steve does and try to make a riddle of it (not to hard though). Don't forget to buy a handy dandy notebook at any office supply store (I did).

Q: Do you know Steve?
A: No. I have been in contact (via e-mail) with several people who claim to know Steve and I now have his unofficial filmography. This is what was e-mailed to me.

Steve has done voice-overs for at least two McDonald's Arch Deluxe sandwich commercials: the one where the old man walking going through a baseball field after a game spearing various wrappers muttering "dang kids," and when he spears an Arch Deluxe wrapper, you hear him say "dang adults"; and the one where a rooster comes out and begins singing an aria from "Carmen." He also has done voice-overs for 1-800-COLLECT, and also did a voice-over for a "Search for Wendy" Snapple commercial which is currently airing. He can also be seen as a guest star in the very beginning of an episode of NBC's "Law & Order," specifically episode #107, "Cruel & Unusual," which aired April 19, 1995. Steve also appeared as the character of David Tarnofski in the April 3, 1998 episode of "Homicide: Life on the Streets." The episode was entitled "Full Court Press."

So Steve, if your surfing in, thanx for a wonderful show that my children love. Which leads me to another question I am asked a lot.

Q: Where do you work at Nickelodeon?
A: I don't. I work for a company (as the resident rocket scientist) that produces proof of concept hardware and software for the DOD. My job demands a lot of my time and I value the time I can spend with my family. My page is not official in any way.

Q: Why is there a snail in every episode?
A: I got an answer!!!! Someone from the production company e-mailed me and said the following:
The snail that appears in all episodes, books, and toys and even on Austin's story felt board is a trademark of this particular division of the computer graphics company that does the artwork for blues clues. Could possibly signify how slow they are at getting new episodes out, but I don't know how and why they picked that particular symbol.
I have been told also that the snail appears three times an episode and it is for the older children to find.

Q: How can I contact Steve?
A: You can write to Steve using the following address:
Blue's Clues
c/o Nickelodeon
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036

Q: Can you send me an e-mail when you update your site (hopefully more often than once a millennia)?
A: I have stopped this because it seems that my updates happen to infrequently and that the last time I did have an update too many people wanted off the list because their children had outgrown???? Blue's Clues. I have heard of this before.

Q: Why can't I =insert problem= on your page and, oh btw, I have AOL and/or WebTV? :-(
A: I have endeavored to make my pages surf friendly (notice no tables for those of you who still use Mosaic). But some problems are endemic of the AOL browser. Some of the sticklers encountered are downloading coloring pictures and playing/saving wavs. I think I have solved the coloring pictures (no complaints lately) but the wavs are another animal. Stay tuned.

Q: Any more ideas for activities?
A: Take a picture of Blue send it through your printer onto a T-shirt transfer and make Blue's Clues shirts. What ever you do, do not sell them!

Q: Could you e-mail me a certain wav or picture?
A: I get asked this toooo many times. You are welcome to use the graphics or wavs on your personal computer but I don't have the time for special request. Sorry.
