Story Headline: A Good Behavior Party In Honor of Harry
S. White
A good behavior party was given in honor of Harry S. White.
During Mr. White's many years at Mr. and Mrs. Homer Stanlye's he has
been a first class fellow, in early at nights, cleaned his shoes at
the door, and didn't break up the children's play things. For these
reasons, if for no others, Mr. White deserved the party.
The party was a great success. Everybody took part in
games, playing everything from horseshoes to mumble-the-peg.
After having contested in various games we turned aside
from play and began to enjoy candy, apples, ice cream, cake and coffee,
and everything refreshing. It was a great treat and we shall not so[o]n
forget the capacity for sweets of some of the worthy pedagogues.
Everybody went away some time early in the morning feeling
a keen sense of joy in the good conduct of Mr. White during the past
few years. To Mr. & Mrs. Stanlye great commodation is due for the kindly
way in which they received those known to be mindful of Mr. White's
conduct.
We wish Mr. White the honor deserving similar considerations.
