Student Incentive Programs
2007 - 2008

Positive Behavior Support (PBS)

Students have 3 opportunities each day to earn an acknowledgement for being on time, being prepared, or being on task. The students each receive a CATS CARD that they must carry with them at all times. When a student is demonstrating one of the three standards, he/she will receive a stamp. When both sides of the CATS CARD is full of stamps (15 stamps on each side), the student gives their card to their teacher, who in turn sends the completed card to the collection center. The student then receives a TEACHER DISCRETIONARY SLIP, which the student can cash in for a TEACHER APPROVED activity (depends upon the teacher). At the end of each grading period, the student must have submitted so many cats cards in order to participate in the PBS Incentive for that grading period The Number of cards needed are determined each grading period, based on the number of opportunites the student will have during that time. The number of cards needed are adjusted if there are school closings due to weather, etc. .
